Armstrong Park is named after former El Lago resident Neil A. Armstrong, National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) Astronaut and the 1st man to walk on the moon. It is the newest member of the El Lago Park System and is located immediately east of the Lakeview Police Station.

The pathway traversing the park is named after long time El Lago City Secretary Jean Raffetto. A bench was recently added in memory of former Councilman Paul R. Raffetto. There are plans to add more benches and a picnicking area in the near future.
